New laws on human fertilisation
THE Church of Scotland attacked the Government's new laws on human fertilisation and embryology yesterday, warning that they will “erase” the role of the father. Senior figures in the Kirk told The Times that they were “stunned” by the legislation, which allows a man or woman with no biological link to an IVF baby to be registered as a parent. They say that the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008, which comes into force next month, allows “the falsification of information” about the child's identity, which is a “denial of a very basic human right”. The Act has already been attacked by religious organisations for its liberalisation of the rules for stem cell research. However, the Kirk is now focusing on the provisions that it makes for registering IVF births. These state that the registered father can be anyone who agrees to be named by the mother, so long as he is not prohibited by incest laws, and the child's welfare is prioritised. – Times (A similar story appears in the Press and Journal) Mon090309
i agree with the movement and attack
this is definitely is a kind of interference in the God's work and decision, there are some limitations of the human beings with should not be crossed , as far as the help of the parents who cannot gave birth to a child is concerned it depends on the circumstances, it definitely effects the blood line, racial issues and other of the same kind because the father cells determine the main identity it should not be decided by the mother alone_____isn't it??? last time i read about the same issue when i was using internet via the wireless internet connection and i was probably shocked that how could any one agree on the human fertilization????
